The Lay Clerk's HandbookBobby's book was written to facilitate the learning of young scholars and lay clerks and to familiarise amateur and new professional musicians with their employer, the church. "This gift to the world of church music is a collation of all the tricks, methods, theory and background one needs to know in order to become an efficient participant in musical worship. Be you Parish church singer, organist, vicar or congregation member, you are sure to benefit from this compilation of lessons which this musician learnt the hard way. This book covers the history of Anglican church music, interpretation of hymnody and psalmody, advanced choral skills and standard musical procedures for services, concerts, recordings and choir tours. It also features a reference section and is laden with prayers, dates, terminology and background information." ~ Blurb Available from ebay and createspace For signed copies, contact Bobby.
